Common Areas
At Genius Loci, you have much more than just your room. Our entire villa is yours to roam about and to use as your own. Find your favorite easy chair and curl up with a book in the beautiful and comfortable Library/Reading Room, take your drink out to one of several outdoor sitting areas, sit in the comfy bar area next to the 1450s oil press, find your perfect sunny or shady spot on the large Solarium, or simply cool off in the pool. At any time, day or night, use the well-stocked Honor Bar. No matter which spot you choose to enjoy…they all come with a view.

Located in the heart of Umbria, Genius Loci is the ideal base for your holiday in Umbria Italy. Within 5-30 minutes, you will find the major towns of interest (Bevagna, Montefalco, Spoleto, Spello, Assisi, Todi, Deruta); 30 minutes will take you to Perugia; 40 minutes to Lake Trasimeno; one hour to Gubbio and Cortona; 1 hour and 10 minutes will take you to the Tuscan towns of Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza and Montalcino.
Umbria beckons, beguiles and enchants its visitors with its “spirit of place.” Its attractions include the region’s renowned landscape, art, picturesque hill towns and “treasures of the table.” Even the short drives through the bucolic countryside from sight to sight constitute an integral part of the excursions themselves.

Umbria is home to some of the finest works of Cimabue, Simone Martini, Ambrogio Lorenzetti, Giotto, Benozzo Gozzoli, Perugino, Pinturicchio and Luca Signorelli as well as several of the most outstanding examples of Romanesque architecture in central Italy.
