Welcome to our new website…and to my blog. Both are due to you, about you and for you. The new website represents Genius Loci today and came from your input, stays, ideas, favorites, comments, questions and recommendations over these first five years.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without you. We begin our sixth season as a result of your confidence, enthusiasm, recommendations to friends, return visits, your Wine and Oil Lovers’ Club membership, your wonderful Internet reviews, your continued support.

You, our Genius Loci friends, are the reason for our being! Our success, our on- going striving to constantly improve and to ensure that Genius Loci is truly a remarkable retreat…is thanks to you. Our main goal has always been to surpass your expectations and highest hopes.

We began 10 full years ago with a somewhat blurry vision – we worked hard to bring it into focus – to implement that initial vision and to create an inn that embodies the very essence of Umbria. But…since perfection doesn’t exist… we continue to work toward that goal.
